Reviews and Ratings
The Grand Hyatt New York is like a well-run motel in terms of room appearance, offering a comfortable stay. The location next to Grand Central is excellent, though there were some issues with requests. The service is friendly and helpful, with easy access to various amenities. The dining options are limited but convenient.
The hotel was a bit with tired furniture, dark decor on the shabby side. It was too dusty, with dust flying around the bed lamps even arriving 2 hours after our check-in time. There was thick dust on the headboard, black hairs in the shower tray, and used tooth floss on the bathroom floor. The service about the practice was incredible; they were really nice about fixing problems, especially for a tip.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great location and cozy rooms, although the dining options fell a bit short. The staff was pleasant, and the pool area was a nice retreat. The overall value for the price was good, but some facilities could use improvement.
The hotel had a very striking atmosphere with tasty evening hors d'oeuvres, but the room felt dark like a cave due to one small window not facing the bed. The working sounds outside were a bit distracting but the amazing staff and location made our stay unforgettable, especially during Christmas.
My stay at the hotel was decent. The rooms were okay, but there were some cleanliness issues with paper and hair found in the room. Sadly, the restaurant didn't have food available for guests, which was disappointing.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel. The spacious rooms were very comfortable, although some had minor maintenance issues. The evening hors d'oeuvres were delicious. The service was helpful and friendly, though there were instances of inattentiveness. The location was prime, close to key attractions and amenities, but had some downsides. The dining experience was generally satisfactory with some room for improvement in quality and pricing. Overall, a good choice for my stay.
For my birthday celebration with friends, the hotel provided a quiet stay in the city center despite the surrounding noise upon opening the windows. The rooms were a bit dusty but overall suitable for our needs.
The hotel is conveniently located on 42nd Street between the Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal, offering easy access to transportation and iconic landmarks. The rooms are compact but comfortable, albeit facing a brick wall. The service was mixed, with some staff members appearing overworked, but overall pleasant. Dining options are limited, with a small food shop available. The location stands out as the best feature of this hotel.
The hotel had visually dirty pictures in the washroom, but the room was spacious like a suite with a sofa. The check-in process was smooth despite the high price of $425 plus tax and service charges for a night in a standard room. The service was outstanding during busy times but lacked friendliness. However, the surprise destination fee for market and bar expenses was not appreciated.
The hotel is conveniently located next to Grand Central Station, making it an ideal spot for exploring the city. The rooms are like a cozy motel inside, offering a spacious and comfortable bath, although the check-in line can be a bit of a hassle. The service is friendly and responsive but leans more towards conserving supplies. The dining experience, whether at the bar or for breakfast, is enjoyable with a nice view. The facilities are well-equipped, allowing you to relax and unwind during your stay.
I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room, which easily accommodated 3 adults and even had extra room for my son's pack & play. However, the room showed some signs of wear and tear with chipped furniture. The hotel's location was superb, offering easy access to the subway, Metro North train, and local attractions like Bryant Park and Grand Central Station. The service was a bit of a mixed bag with some staff being rude, but others being excellent and accommodating.
The hotel is located right by Grand Central Station, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The rooms were a bit small for a family of four, lacking some essentials like a microwave and cups, and also had cleanliness issues and a cigarette smell. On the bright side, there were multiple dining tables and small fridges available. The service was a mix of friendliness and rudeness, with issues like towels not being replaced and dirty room service left behind. The location was exceptional for getting around easily, especially to shopping areas, Times Square, and Broadway shows.
